About Us

Family Matters was founded in 2003 by Gregg Dirks, a financial planner and funeral home director.  Gregg grew up in the funeral business in a small town in Minnesota.  He knew there was much, much more to take care of once the funeral was over.  However, he was unable to help families at the time or even to give them a point of reference.

He devised an organized, systematic approach to estate settlement that saves time, ensures that all tasks are handled properly, reduces family stress and conflicts and saves money.  In addition, Family Matters performs many tasks the family would not typically do such as initiating credit fraud prevention and searching for lost property.

The final report that is created helps the realtor, the attorney, the financial advisor but most of all the family. Every task that was completed and every company or individual that was contacted is identified in a clear, concise and categorized format.

All our employees have over 15 years of business experience, dealing with sensitive client data.  Each employee has been through several thorough background checks.
